Link Building

Build authority with backlinks that actually belong

Our link-building campaigns focus on relevance, quality and strategic placement — not simply the number of links acquired. A link from a site your customers would plausibly read is worth more than ten from sites nobody does.

Why relevance beats volume

Link building has a volume problem. It is easy to sell a number — twenty links a month — and much harder to sell a judgement about which twenty sites are worth appearing on. The number is what most packages optimise for, which is why so many backlink profiles end up looking unrelated to the business they point at.

We work the other way round. Every campaign starts with the pages that need authority and the terms they are competing for, then identifies sites where a link would make sense to a reader as well as to a crawler. Fewer, better-fitting placements, with a clear reason for each.

You see the sites before or as they are secured, and you know why each one was chosen. If a placement does not meet the standard, it does not get counted just to hit a quota.

What's included

What link building covers

  • Competitor backlink analysis

Mapping where your competitors earn authority and separating the genuinely replicable opportunities from the ones you will never win.

  • Prospecting & vetting

Candidate sites assessed on topical relevance, traffic, outbound link patterns and whether the site exists to serve readers or to sell links.

  • Outreach

Direct, researched contact with site owners and editors, pitched on why the piece fits their audience.

  • Content production

Articles written to be publishable on their own merit, so the placement holds up rather than reading as paid filler.

  • Anchor text planning

A diversified, natural anchor profile planned across the campaign instead of repeating the same commercial phrase.

  • Placement reporting

Every live link documented with the target page, anchor, placement date and the reason the site was selected.

How we work

How a campaign runs

The same five stages apply whichever service you start with. Only the emphasis changes.

  1. 01

    Discover

We start with your business, not your website. Which products actually make money, who you compete with in the results pages, and what a useful outcome looks like in twelve months.

  2. 02

    Audit

A full read of the site: technical health, indexation, content coverage, keyword opportunity, and an honest look at your backlink profile alongside your closest competitors.

  3. 03

    Strategise

The audit becomes a roadmap. Which pages to build or fix, which keywords justify the effort, and where link acquisition will move the needle rather than just add volume.

  4. 04

    Build

Execution: on-page and technical fixes, content production, outreach, and placements. You see what is being built and why, as it happens.

  5. 05

    Measure

Rankings, organic traffic, referring domains and the pages actually earning visibility. Reporting says what changed, what it means, and what happens next month.

FAQ

Link Building questions

How many links will I get per month?

It varies by budget, niche and how strict the relevance filter has to be. We agree a realistic range at the start rather than a fixed quota, because a hard number is the thing that pushes agencies into accepting weak placements at the end of the month.

What makes a backlink high quality?

Topical relevance to your page, a site with genuine readership and editorial standards, a sensible outbound link profile, and placement within content rather than a footer or a list. Domain metrics are a useful filter but a poor substitute for actually looking at the site.

Do you use private blog networks?

No. PBNs carry a real risk of manual action, and a link that has to be hidden from Google is not an asset you own. We would rather build slower on placements that survive.

Can you build links to a page with thin content?

We can, but we usually advise fixing the page first. Links raise a page's ceiling; they do not make an inadequate page relevant. Pointing budget at a page that cannot convert or compete wastes both.

Do you offer white-label link building for agencies?

Yes. We provide fulfilment for SEO, digital marketing and web development agencies, with reporting you can pass to your own clients. Mention it in your enquiry and we will scope it accordingly.
